Inspiration: Sharpie Prints

September, the most confusing month of the year. For me this is an ambiguous time, I'm not sure whether it is Summer or Fall. So I think that September should be its own season, a season dedicated to prints. I absolutely love prints, especially when they are not perfect but a little crooked in a charming way.

These photos will hopefully make you want go search for those heavenly sharpies you have hidden somewhere around you and scribble out a beautiful print on that incredibly boring dress that you don't know what to do with. Have fun!

Inspiration: Rope

Inspiration: Cut Outs

Best way to make a piece of clothing 'un-boring'? Make some cut-outs. Although it is possible to take this method in the complete wrong direction and over the top you have to plan, don't cut aimlessly. Whether it is super funky, simple, minimalist, or just adds a hint of innocence, cut-outs are bound to excite your wardrobe.

Inspiration: Geometrical and Organic Cuffs

Lately I have been in love with cuffs especially geometrical ones. They are just the coolest things, minimalist yet edgy. So I've been trying to figure out away to make them but nothing seems to come out the way I want it too. 

The orange ones below are my favorite so far and I am determined to make something similar. 'If there's a will, there's a way'. Will keep you updated on my constructions!

Inspiration: Frayed

Frayed pieces of string have never failed to amaze me in the way that they hang on one’s body. These photos are all different examples of this and all inspiration for DIY. It may be the raw, unfinished look that inspires me, or just the uniqueness of the idea. Whatever it is I really hope it inspires you too.

Forgive me for my recent lack of posts but I have been super busy lately. Now that I'm back I thought I'd start off with some great DIY inspiration. Ruffles are easy to make and gorgeous too. You have to be quite daring to upgrade something with a zipper because if you get it wrong it will turn out terrible, however if you get it right it will turn out quite spectacularly.

Inspiration: Bleached Denim

I think the best way to revamp your denim is to bleach it, but not completely. Be creative.

Below are a couple of photos that I loved from all over the web. I hope they inspire you as much as they did to me.

For a revamp to your bleached denim set them ablaze with a packet of colored dye.

Now grab that old denim and bleach away :)

After seeing this at A Pair and & a Spare I have been trying to find ideas for dip dying or anything that looks similar. Aren't they charming?

Dip dye's are super simple to do. Just dip, dye and dry. If you use 2 shades of a color, dye using the lighter one first then the darker one.
